"I am mesmerized by the pet paintings you have done. How did you ever figure out how to paint their souls?" Deborah C.

My sister's miniature Dachshund, SCHATZI Happy Birthday, Sib!

SOLD
Schatzi is my sister's spunky little Dachshund who loves to run like lightening; as tiny as she is, we have to get out of her way!  She prances around the house carrying her favorite toy, which is anything new, has a wardrobe of clothes and accessories including a cute red raincoat and even has a float for the pool.  She'll do anything for a kibble, and when it comes to her Christmas stocking, she'll bark at it for days until Santa fills it.  She's quite a spritely handful, as you can see Mary holding her, above.  For special occasions, not only is Mary's attire color coordinated to her tablescape, but Schatzi's is, too!  In this oil portrait she's shown wearing her first set of pearls, actually her mother's...afterall, what girl doesn't love "bing"?  This charming portrait was a birthday gift from Mary's hubby, Bob.

Ebe and Bijou black tuxedo cat portrait heavenly glance

Ebe and Bijou
5x7 inches / oil on panel
SOLD
I'd have preferred to paint two separate portraits, but because one kitty was deceased my client wanted to show their relationship by having one looking back toward the other as if in a heavenly glance.  It's a dually commemorative painting about friendship...a gift from one friend to another, as well as the loving friendship between two kitties who still seem to be in communication even from heaven.
