"I am mesmerized by the pet paintings you have done. How did you ever figure out how to paint their souls?" Deborah C.

Darling Daisy Mae Amidst the Diasies Cocker Spaniel Dog Portrait in Oils

"Darling Daisy Mae Amidst the Diasies"
14x18 inches / oil on panel
SOLD
A beautiful Cocker Spaniel, Daisy Mae is even more adorable resting amidst the Daisies as if she'd been playing and just plopped down right on top of the flowers.  It was actually Daisy Mae's mom who suggested adding the Daisies, and I was absolutely delighted!   It was a joy painting her long, luxurious whiet fur as well as the rich shades of brown, particularly where it's wavy on her ears and forehead.  Quite a beauty and a charmer!

Suki cozy kitty catnap pet portrait in oil

"Suki"
7x5 inches / oil on panel
SOLD
I'm tempted to entitle this portrait "Catnap". Darling Suki lives with Comet, shown below. Being a cat lover myself and having three at the moment, I am quite familiar with the charm of seeing a kitty snuggled up in a cozy ball, and they find the most adorable places to nap.  So it was especially fun painting Suki curled up and Comet with his big, excited eyes. just as we see our own cats so often.

Silver Gray Cat named Comet

"Comet"
7x5 inches oil on panel
SOLD
An exquisitely beautiful cat, Comet's coat is thick and shimmers with tones of silver in the light. These smaller 5x7 in. sized pet portraits are really great as head and shoulders paintings, and small enough to be wonderful for giftgiving.  Remember, I do get quite booked prior to the holidays so order your custom pet portrait today!
