Here’s is another of my client’s precious girls, a sweet little Society Finch. Josephine is sitting pretty in her egg shaped wicker nest lined with scraps of newspaper and other odds and ends she’s gathered. Isn't she just adorable peering from her cozy abode? I could almost reach out and touch her! Scroll down to see the painting alongside the image provided for reference.

Jeanne -- Josie looks absolutely perfect! As I think I told you, Society Finches don't exist in nature; the Chinese bred them from some unknown species over several thousand years. They are the sweetest little finches, very tame, and perfect parents. Many breeders of exotic finches keep them because they are excellent foster parents who happily raise the babies of more tempermental species. Although they aren't the most flamboyant species, they are my favorite because of their sweet little personalities and friendly natures. Thanks soooo much!
Thank you SO much, Carol, it was a sheer delight creating this portrait of your darling little Josie! I'm learning so much from you about all your birds and it's been a real joy becoming acquainted with each of your girls!
So charming! Josie is adorable in her egg-shape nest.
You've done it again, Jeanne. Wonderful
