No matter how many pet portraits I paint, when first viewing my clients' photos, I'm always in awe of the beautiful creatures with whom we are privileged to share this Earth.  Here, this white snowball of fluff, Daisy, is absolutely irresistible . . . just wish I could snuggle kisses in that thick white fur!
A little postscript...
I just love receiving photos from my clients when they frame and display their paintings, but I've never received one with the model in the pic!  Isn't Daisy just amazingly beautiful...and she's even sitting on the very same rug!  I'm so glad she gave me a "Paws up!" :o)

Thank you SO much, Irit! I am always so excited to see my clients' photos because each is as unique as their pets and truly inspirational. It was such fun also to see pics of Daisy and her siblings as puppies -- they really looked like little puff balls! Thank you again!

Thank you SO much, Aynes! I love animals and think that must be a huge contributing factor to my work. Daisy was a sheer delight to paint with all that ultra soft, thick white fur! Always so lovely to hear from you! Hugs

Thank you SO much! I truly appreciate your lovely comments. It was a joy painting this portrait of Daisy with her gorgeous eyes and extra soft fur...and the rug was great fun, too! :0)

Jeanne -- What a wonderful portrait! We had a spitz (they now call them American Eskimos) when I was a kid. His name was Buck and he was from an animal shelter. Buck was quite the wild creature -- he had a police record (he escaped a lot, despite our fence). One notable time, Buck escaped wearing his leash. We were frantic to find him because bad weather was approaching, and we were worried that he would be caught in the storm (there were tornado watches). Anyway, all of us kids were out, looking for Buck while the tornado sirens were blaring, lightening, hail -- and Buck appeared at home, riding in the back of a police car before the storm hit. Buck was warm and dry, and we were all out in the storm! He also used to immediately pose any time he saw a camera. He was definitely quite a personality!

Oh Carol, your Buck sounds adoooorable and quite the tease! While he was out cruisin' the neighborhood you were all frantic, cold and wet! I love that he posed for the camera, too! Buck sure sounds like quite a character and such fun! Email a pic sometime if you still have one! :o)
