Anne and Tammy had a truly special bond. Here Tammy is shown in one of her most endearing moments, gazing lovingly upon Anne as she did so often. I added the pillows for a cozy setting.

Jeanne, What a fantastic painting of Tammy. Wrapping her in those soft tones and adding the pillows was brilliant. Really, really great!

Thank you so much, Mark! I took a little extra time deciding what to do for the setting because the photo showed her almost silhouetted against a white background and white (completely bleached out) foreground. It was a challenge at first to come up with an idea but I'm thrilled with the end result. Thank you for your wonderful comments! Jeanne

Thank you so much, Betty! It's been a sheer joy creating this blog, which is actually a very new genre of painting for me. (See my still life blog.) I've always adored animals and have found that I actually love painting pet portraits! In addition to posting my paintings, I felt it might be of service to offer some helpful information as well, so I'm particularly glad you're enjoying reading! Many thanks! Jeanne
